JUNNY DELIVERED “DOPAMINE” TO FANS IN TORONTO
BY BRENESSA ROACH | NOVEMBER 4, 2024
On November 1, 2024, South Korean-Canadian R&B artist JUNNY returned to Toronto for the first time in two years, delivering another sold-out performance on his “Dopamine” North American tour. As the second stop on his 10-city tour, JUNNY took the stage at The Concert Hall, joined by DAUL for additional support, with opening acts from Toronto-based artists BNZA and Tae Hauk.
Fans began lining up as early as 4 PM, with lines wrapping around the venue. Though the show nearly faced cancellation, it ultimately went on as planned, much to everyone’s relief.
The show started at 8:30 PM with BNZA, a Tibetan-Canadian R&B solo artist, accompanied by his audio engineer Dot. We’ve seen BNZA perform four times now, and every time he brings so much energy. His stage presence is magnetic, and with every show, he continues to elevate his performance.
He performed some of his earlier tracks, including “I’m Better”, “FIRE” and tracks from his debut album, *Soul Tree* (2020), such as **“Big Trouble” and “Soul Tree”. He also performed fan favourites like “SLIDE”, which has garnered over 1.5 million streams since its release in 2020, and his 2023 hit, “SELFISH”.
We loved BNZA’s energy and vibe, and the crowd clearly felt the same, with fans lining up to meet him after the show. BNZA also performed at JUNNY’s Montreal show, so we’re excited to see where he’ll take the stage next and can’t wait to keep supporting him on his journey.

Following BNZA, Korean-Canadian soloist Tae Hauk took the stage. This was our first time seeing him live, and he did not disappoint. KNown for his hip-hop and rap style, Tae brought a refreshing contrast to the R&B-heavy lineup. He surprised the crowd by performing two unreleased R&B tracks, “I WANT IT ALL” and “PLS LMK,” showing his versatility across genres. No matter the style, Tae’s songs are always captivating.
He performed his track “Kelowna, I Made You” from his debut EP Songs About Summer (June 2022), and “THE PROBLEM”, released in September 2023. He also treated fans to a cover of “GIRLS” by The Kid Laroi.
Additionally, he performed a cover of “GIRLS” by The Kid Laroi.
Tae’s passion and skill as a performer were undeniable, and he even played piano live for the first time, which was a great addition to his set. Fans were thrilled with his performance and eagerly lined up to meet him after the show. We can’t wait to see Tae live again and look forward to his future performances.

Following Tae Hauk, South Korean producer and DJ DAUL took over with a captivating set. His mixes, which included popular songs along with his own work, were incredible and kept the energy high. DAUL also accompanied JUNNY as the DJ for his performance, adding a seamless flow to the show. We hadn’t heard of DAUL before this tour, but after checking out some of his tracks like “In Touch” with Charli Taft and “Mine” with Se.A., we were thrilled to experience his set live.

Finally, around 9:30 PM, JUNNY took the stage, opening with “RUSH” from his latest EP dopamine. We last saw JUNNY perform in Toronto in 2022, but this show revealed an entirely new side to him. JUNNY’s confidence has skyrocketed—he was dancing, engaging the crowd, and putting on a performance that fans will never forget. His smooth, sexy dance moves had the crowd going wild, truly bringing the energy of “dopamine” to life. He performed every track from his dopamine EP, including “TASTE,” “Here We Go Again,” “Complications,” “Daylight,” and our personal favourite, “figure8.”
He also performed fan favourites like “INVITATION,” “Not About You,” and “By My Side.” JUNNY’s shows are the kind that leave you with post-concert depression for months (and we can confirm this). His stage presence is incredible, and he had us completely mesmerized from the media pit. He interacts with fans constantly, even stepping down from the stage to engage directly with the crowd.
One of the concert’s most memorable moments was his acappella session, where he sang lines from fan-requested songs. Highlights included “365” from his recent collaboration with GEMINI, “Graduation” (a track he wrote for NCT DREAM), and a fun, surprising snippet of “FE!N.”
JUNNY ended his set with powerful performances of “figure8” and “Thank You,” leaving the crowd in awe and bringing the night to a heartfelt and emotional close.
Overall, the show left us absolutely speechless. JUNNY is an incredibly sweet, funny, and talented performer, and we’re excited to see him grow and sell out even more shows. If you’d like to catch him on the rest of his tour, you can grab tickets here.
Special thanks to Unbound Entertainment, Mauve Company and JUNNY for the media pass and the opportunity to review and photograph this incredible concert.
