Welcome back to our “Beyond The Beat Spotlight” series! This month, we’re featuring Canadian singer and songwriter Gabriela Bee.

Gabriela is best known as a member of The Bee Family (formerly the Eh Bee Family), Canadian internet influencers who rose to fame with their Vine content in 2013. Since then, the family has built a massive online presence, amassing over 33 million followers across platforms.

Gabriela started posting covers online in 2019 and made her official debut on October 6, 2023, with the single “LOOK AT YOU NOW”. Since then, she’s released music consistently and now has over 1.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

While we’ve followed the Bee Family on and off since their early days, we discovered Gabriela as a solo artist in November 2024 through her release of “Tal Vez”, the Spanish version of her track “MAYBE.” This song is our favourite from her discography and we have been following her music since its release.

On February 21, 2025, Gabriela released her debut album STORIES, followed by her latest single “I FOLLOW YOU” on June 6. With STORIES, she will be hitting the road for a series of headline shows in select cities.

We chose to spotlight Gabriela this month after meeting her at Lyle Kam’s show, where we got a glimpse into her journey transitioning from content creator to musician, and building a dedicated following for her art. Her story is one of growth, authenticity, and passion, and we’re thrilled to support her as she continues to evolve as an artist.
