Welcome to “Main Girl Energy”, our new curated series spotlighting rising women in pop, alt-pop and rock who are making noise with unapologetic lyrics, standout visuals, and energy that needs spotlighting. In this article, we are featuring six artists.

Taylor Felt is a pop singer and songwriter who gained recognition for posting mashups and covers of popular songs since 2010 when she was 9 years old. We actually used to watch Taylor Felt’s covers back in 2013-2017. She made her debut as an artist on June 29, 2018, with the song “Touch the Sky” with NYMZ. Sh released a few more singles in 2018 and 2021, taking breaks during 2019 and 2022. In 2023, she started releasing music more consistently leading up to her debut EP Dead Flowers on June 6, 2024.
So far for 2025, Taylor Felt released the single “Not Gonna Wait” on February 25, which is our favourite song and also released “21” in March, “i hope u heal” in April and “Forget I Exist” in June.

Laur Elle is an indie-pop artist from Canada and Los Angeles who made her debut on July 10, 2017 with the single “Fade”. On March 19, 2021, she released her debut album *The Art of Pretending (Deluxe)* and consistently released music throughout the years leading to a sophomore album Delayed Reaction on October 13, 2023.
Her last song of 2024, “Killjoy” is the song we discovered her by recently and we absolutely loved it. In 2025 so far, Laur Elle collaborated with SUM SUN on April 18 for “Blame It on the Rain”, and FJ Law on May 22nd for “play dumb”. She also recently released “Dream Girl” on August 1.

Indi Star is an artist born in Boston and based in Los Angeles who blends pop with folk and rock. She has such a unique sound and this is why she stood out to us. She started releasing music when she was 13 and made her debut on June 18, 2021, with the single “Afterglow”. Since her debut, she has consistently released music throughout the years leading up to her latest release and her debut album eMotion Sick which dropped on September 26, 2024. So far for 2025, she hasn’t released anything, but ever since discovering her recently because of her song “Why Am I Like This” from her debut album, we are waiting for her comeback.

Chelsea King is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist fro Nashville, Tennessee. She creates music in the pop infused with rock genre and mixes 90s influenced sounds. She made her debut on July 10, 2020, with the single “Cowboy,” which was a pre-release track for her debut EP in love in hell which released on June 26, 2021.
In 2022, she won the “2022 Break Up Songs Songwriting Award” for her song “No (Hard) Feelings,” which released on January 15, 2022. On April 29, 2022, she released the single “Vancouver” which lead her to be the Winner of the 2022 John Lennon Award. These are just a few of the songwriting awards she has won. She has consistently released music since her debut and even released her debut album quantum entanglement on September 9, 2022. She released all throughout 2023, and released her sophomore album *I’ll Meet You in Dreams* on May 24, 2024, followed by a deluxe version in June. We discovered Chelsea by her single “Daisy Buchanan” off this album.
So far for 2025, Chelsea released “Outta This Town” on April 4, followed by a cover of “This Little Light Of Mine” in May and her latest release “Losing Sleep” on June 20.

elishéva is a French-American, indie folk-pop artist born in Paris, France and raised in Tahiti, French Polynesia who made her debut on June 25, 2021, with the single “Bring Me Back.” Following her debut, she released a lot of singles throughout the year and released her debut album i don’t believe in horoscopes on May 9, 2024. On August 30, 2024, she released the single “Flash Tattoo <3” which is the song we discovered her by recently when the song came on shuffle on Spotify.
So far for 2025, elishéva released “Dark Chocolate” on July 18 and “Chinola” on August 1. Her EP Terms & Conditions will release on August 29, pre-save here.

Skylar Lee is a pop singer, songwriter, and producer from Allentown, Pennsylvania and currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. She debuted on June 14, 2019 with the single “Stranger to the Melodies” with Alyssa Lazar. Shehas released quite a few singles since her debut, and released her most popular single “Don’t Want a Body” on February 23, 2024.
So far for 2025, Skylar Lee released “The Problem” on February 28, which is how we discovered her by, followed by “WHO KNEW!” on July 11.
