BABYMONSTER PERFORMS IN TORONTO FOR THEIR FIRST “HELLO MONSTERS” WORLD TOUR

On August 30, 2025, South Korean girl group BABYMONSTER (베이비몬스터) performed at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto with their first-ever Hello Monsters World Tour. The YG Entertainment group, consisting of Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita, performed as six members with Rami sitting out due to health-related hiatus. Since their explosive debut with “BATTER UP” in 2023 and their first mini album BABYMONSTER in 2024, the group has rapidly risen as one of K-pop’s most promising acts. Toronto marked the official kick-off to their North American tour and it was an unforgettable way to start.

The show kicked off at 7:45PM with BABYMONSTER rising onto an elevated stage, opening with “MONSTERS (Intro)” and “DRIP,” complete with pyrotechnics. The group powered through fan-favourites like “SHEESH,” “BATTER UP,” and “LIKE THAT,” bringing so much fiery energy and moments of playful aegyo (affectionate cuteness).

Despite being a relatively young group with their maknae only 16 years oldBABYMONSTER surprised many with choreography and themes that leaned more mature, creating a striking contrast between their youthful image and the intensity of their performances.

Midway through the concert, each member showcased their individuality with solo covers, before Ruka and Asa reunited on stage for a powerful rendition of “Woke Up In Tokyo” from their DRIP album. Following the solo stages, the group introduced a live band, Inspire Band, featuring Injae (Band Master, Guitarist), Koo Bonam of AMHO (Bassist), and Jim Seungho of AMHO (Drummer). This segment was a standout highlight, offering a rare and refreshing live-band element in a K-pop concert.

For the encore, BABYMONSTER returned with five songs, revisiting “SHEESH,” “DRIP,” and “BATTER UP,” while closing out the night with heartfelt performances of “FOREVER” and “Stuck In The Middle.” It was a spectacular finale to an unforgettable night.

A massive thank you to BABYMONSTER, their team, and Live Nation for the review ticket, and to YG Entertainment for capturing the photographs.
