brynne RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM ‘all the words i could’ve said’

On March 28, at midnight, Filipino-American singer and songwriter brynne released his debut album all the words i could’ve said. Describing the 10-track project, brynne calls it “a letter to everyone—my friends, family, listeners, and people from my past—about everything I never had the courage or means to properly express. It is a culmination of years of perfecting my craft, collaborating with the talented people I’m proud to call my friends, and learning how to be vulnerable and authentic in my music.” This album not only shares brynne’s personal story, but also explores a variety of sounds and styles, showcasing his artistry.

Track 1: fear

“fear” serves as a reflective introduction where brynne voices his insecurities. It begins with a spoken monologue over a soft piano melody before transitioning to singing around the 55-second mark. This opening track effectively sets the tone for the album, aligning with its overarching theme of expressing unspoken thoughts.

2. hometown

hometown” is a track that was first released on January 30th as a pre-release track for this album. “hometown” is our favourite track on the album because of it’s indie-folk inspired production that evokes a warm, nostalgic atmosphere. We always think of this song as a tv show/movie soundtrack of a small-town, coming-of-age film.

Track 3: cpr

Released on June 21, 2024, “cpr” blends indie-rock and R&B influences. The chorus is undeniably catchy, making it one of the more memorable tracks. This song highlights a different side of brynne’s musical range and adds diversity to the album’s sound.

4. composure

composure”, released on March 13, leans into a pop sound reminiscent of Lauv’s style. It has a bright, youthful energy that adds a lighter moment to the album, though it may feel familiar in its approach to pop music.

Track 5: idontbelonghere

“idontbelonghere” is a mellow, emotional track where brynne reflects on that feelings of isolation. The production stands out with its mix of piano, acoustic guitar, and subtle synths, creating a delicate yet touching atmosphere that enhances the song’s introspective lyrics.

Track 6: savior

“savior” continues the emotional depth with its letter-like lyrics, particularly the lines, “I can’t take it back / those words I said / won’t change my past.” This track feels deeply personal and fits well within the album’s confessional tone, though it might not be as sonically adventurous as other songs.

Track 7: promise me you’ll be ok

With an R&B-inspired sound, “promise me you’ll be ok” features smooth production and a catchy melody. The muffled vocal effect adds a nice texture, and the song draws comparisons to keshi’s style, offering a polished and contemporary vibe.

Track 8: epistaxis

“epistaxis” is one of the stronger tracks on the album. The seamless blend of vocals and production, combined with compelling lyrics, makes it a highlight. The pre-chorus and chorus sections are particularly striking, leaving a lasting impression.

Track 9: don’t u wait

Released on August 8, 2024, “don’t u wait” marks a point of growth for brynne. While the guitar bridge is a standout moment, the vocals feel a bit monotone compared to the dynamic production. However, including this track on the album highlights how much brynne has evolved musically in a short span of time.

Track 10: i’ll figure it out

Closing the album, “i’ll figure it out” is a powerful and emotionally resonant track. Its introspective lyrics and tender delivery make it a memorable conclusion. This song showcases not only brynne’s lyrical depth, but also his vocal range, leaving the listener with a strong final impression.

Overall, all the words i could’ve said is a heartfelt debut that reflects brynne’s journey of self-expression. While some tracks shine more brightly than others, the album as a whole demonstrates his growth and versatility. As long-time supporters since 2023, it has been rewarding to witness his artistic evolution, and we are excited to see where he goes next.
