JAY B BRINGS THE HEAT TO TORONTO WITH Jiwoo ON TAPE:RELOAD TOUR
BY BRENESSA ROACH | JUNE 20, 2025
On June 15, 2025, South Korean artist JAY B (제이비), known as a member of the Korean boy group GOT7, brought his “TAPE:RELOAD” tour to Toronto’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre, presented by MRG Live. This show featured an opening performance by local Korean-Canadian artist Jiwoo. This tour follows the release of JAY B’s latest album Archive 1: [ROAD RUNNER] which came out on November 27, 2024.
Jiwoo, who is signed to Colde’s label Wavy, kicked off the night at 8PM with a beautiful set that blended both familiar favourites and new tracks.
He even gave fans a special treat by previewing an unreleased song from his upcoming project. We’ve been following Jiwoo since his debut in 2019, and it’s been incredible to witness his artistic growth and growing confidence. After seeing him open for Colde in Toronto last August, it’s clear he’s come even further in his stage presence. We can’t wait to see what he does next—and hopefully catch him live again soon.
JAY B came on stage around 8:45PM, performing fan favourites like, “Baby”, “FAME”, featuring JUNNY—our personal favourite—along with “Livin’”, “The Way We Are,” and “Crash”, another standout track.
He was full of energy and charisma, constantly moving from side to side, connecting with the crowd, and dancing through the intense choreo with his four backup dancers—who absolutely killed it. He had three outfit changes throughout the night, with VCRs playing in between that were actually super fun to watch.
It was great to be part of his first solo tour stop in Toronto. We even got to go on stage for a crowd photo during the encore, which made the night even more memorable. We’ll definitely continue to support him going forward.
A special thank you to JAY B and his team, Mauve and MRG for providing us with a media pass.
