Welcome back to our “Beyond The Beat Spotlight” series! This month, we’re featuring Korean-Canadian artist Jiwoo.

Jiwoo made his debut on July 6, 2019, with the EP Maison. We’ve been listening to Jiwoo since then—discovering him through his track “Comme des Garçons,” which instantly caught our attention.

He’s currently signed to Colde’s label, Wavy, and even opened for Colde in Toronto in August 2024.

While Jiwoo’s latest release was the single “Afterimage” in April 2024, he’s been quietly working on new music—and even teased an unreleased song during his opening set for JAY B this past weekend. It was incredible to see fans discover Jiwoo for the first time and instantly connect with his voice and sound.

Jiwoo is an incredibly talented artist who deserves way more listeners, and we’re so excited to continue following his journey. We hope you’ll join us in supporting him, too.
