NCT 127 BRINGS THE HEAT TO TORONTO WITH ‘THE MOMENTUM’ TOUR
BY BRENESSA ROACH | MARCH 7, 2025
On March 5, 2025, South Korean boy pop group NCT 127 performed at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto for their fourth tour, THE MOMENTUM. Toronto marked the sixth stop on their 14-city tour. NCT 127, a K-pop group under SM Entertainment, includes members Johnny, Yuta, Jungwoo, Mark Lee, Doyoung, Haechan, Taeyong and Jaheyun. However, Taeyong and Jaehyun were unable to join this tour due to their military service.
The show started at 8 PM with NCT 127 opening with our favourite song, “Gas” from their latest album, *WALK.* It was hands down the best opening performance we’ve ever seen—the stage was filled with smoke, and as it cleared, the members appeared on a raised platform, descending the stairs and making their way toward the fans. While we felt the absence of Taeyong and Jaehyun, the remaining members brought incredible energy, delivering a performance that completely blew us away.
While stationed in the media pit, we got to witness NCT 127 perform “Faster” and “Bring The Noize,” during which they moved onto the extended stage, getting as close to fans as possible. As an NCTzen (NCT 127’s fandom name), seeing them up close and capturing the moment through photography was an unforgettable experience.
Even after returning to our seats, the energy remained electric. Every song, set design, and VCR sequence was visually stunning, making us miss the concert the moment it ended. This show was particularly special because Toronto is Mark Lee’s hometown—he was born and raised here for the first seven years of his life. It was his first time performing in the city since 2019, and with his parents in the crowd, the night carried an extra layer of emotion and significance.
NCT 127 brought the energy for nearly 2 hours keeping the momentum high while delivering fan favourites like; “2 Baddies”, “Sticker”, “Whiplash”, “Kick It”, “Regular,” and more. The concert atmosphere was nothing short of amazing—the members were hilarious, sweet, and beyond talented. We can only hope they return to Toronto sooner than six years from now!
A huge thank you to SM Entertainment’s In House PR for facilitating the press request and to MLSE and Scotiabank Arena for providing the press access and ticket.
