Pink Sweat$ BRINGS “Welcome Home” TOUR IN TORONTO WITH LOCAL STAR Aqyila
BY BRENESSA ROACH | FEBRUARY 20, 2025
On February 20, 2025, American R&B singer-songwriter and producer Pink Sweat$ brought his “Welcome Home” tour to Massey Hall in Toronto. This 20-city tour marked its halfway point in Toronto, with the show being the 10th stop. Opening the night was Toronto’s own R&B sensation, Aqyila. We had the privilege of attending the performance and capturing the magic through our lens.
The night kicked off just after 8PM with Aqyila showcasing her powerful and stunning vocal range. Her ability to transition seamlessly from deep, rich lows to soaring highs sent chills through the crowd. She captivated the audience with performances of her hit songs, “Bloom” and “Vibe for Me (Bob for Me),” along with a breathtaking cover of Rihanna’s “Love On The Brain.”
Aqyila ended her set with a performance of her latest single, “Focus”, followed by an unreleased single, “Wolf”—both set to appear on her highly anticipated debut album, arriving in early spring.
This was our first time experiencing Aqyila live, and it certainly won’t be our last. We can’t wait to see what’s next for her.

His set design was adorable, featuring a cozy house with a fence and bushes, while his signature bear graphic was placed on the drum kit. His stage presence was unmatched—we’ve never seen an artist interact with a crowd as much as he did. Whether fans were in the front, back, or along the sides, he made sure to connect with as many as possible.
He delivered an unforgettable set, performing his hit tracks—including our personal favourites—“17,” “At My Worst,” and “Honesty.” He also treated fans to beloved tracks like “Run Through Fire,” “Cocaine,” “Coffee,” and “Heaven.”
The show lasted nearly two hours, filled with heartfelt moments and pure vibes. Pink Sweat$ truly writes some of the best R&B love songs, and this night felt extra special—he shared that this was his first-ever international show, having previously only performed in North America.
We’re so grateful to have captured this unforgettable performance.
Special thanks to Aqyila and her team, as well as Pink Sweat$ and his manager, for the press pass and the opportunity to cover this show.
