Welcome to UK UNHEARD—our new series spotlighting underrated and emerging talent from the UK music scene. This series is all about giving a platform to the voices you should be hearing.
Each article will highlight a few artists who are making waves under the radar—from indie pop to experimental R&B and beyond.

Ruby Aeron is a UK-based singer-songwriter who made her debut on January 28, 2022 with the single “Overdue”, followed by “Not Here Forever” on May 13, 2022. After a brief hiatus, she returned in February 2025 with the track “Temporary Love.
Her most recent release, “Beautiful Liar,” dropped on May 9 and was the first song that caught our attention. We discovered Ruby through TikTok and were immediately drawn to her distinct sound and the way she captures themes of love and personal growth through her music.

beaux is a singer-songwriter from London, UK, who made his debut on August 21, 2020 with the EP I Don’t Want To Make It Alone, I Want To Make It With You. Following his debut, he released his second EP a love letter to the moments spent outside on February 19, 2021. In July of the same year, he dropped the single “it’s a landslide,” which amassed over 1.3 million streams, becoming his second most popular track.
Throughout 2021 and 2022, beaux continued to release new music consistently before taking a break in 2023. He made his return on March 25, 2024, with “Edge of St. James’s,” followed by “I’ll Be Here When You’re Back” in May. The latter was the first track we heard from him late last year.
In 2025, beaux released “Suddenly, I’m Fine” on January 31 and “Cut My Hair” on May 9. Both these singles were pre-release tracks for his latest album I Thought We’d Live Here Forever, released on June 3.

TogetherEffect is a British-American indie duo made up of brothers-in-law Caleb and Noah. They made their debut on February 16, 2024, with the single “Nature Song,” which we discovered at the time and featured in our “15 ARTISTS TO LISTEN TO IN 2025” article—when they had just 4.6K monthly listeners.
Following their debut, they released “Eyes Like Diamonds” in May 2024, “A Right Mess” in October, and “Apartment” in November. So far in 2025, TogetherEffect released “Miss America” on February 25, “A Bit Too Much” on April 8, and their latest single “Crush” released on May 13.

TYLER LEWIS is an English R&B singer and songwriter of Sri Lankan, Dutch, Portuguese, and South African descent. She made her debut on January 31, 2024, with the single “downtime,” which we recently came across on TikTok. Following her debut, she released the single “fly on the wall” on March 27, 2024. Both singles served as pre-release tracks to her debut EP, *wait ‘til she gets her heart broken,* which dropped on July 31, 2024.
Her most recent release came on December 2, 2024, with two festive tracks: “something in the air (at christmas)” and a cover of “have yourself a merry little christmas.” While she hasn’t dropped any new music in 2025 just yet, we’re eagerly awaiting her return.

Manta is a Manchester-based singer and songwriter who released his first track “Dream World” on February 12, 2021. Following his debut, he released “Thoughts of Yesterday” on November 19, 2021. Both singles were pre-release tracks for his debut EP, *Confined Spaces,* which was released on March 25, 2022.
His sophomore EP, Roundabouts in Therapy, released on April 28, 2023, followed by a third project, the be all and end all of nothing, released on September 18, 2024. That EP included “wishful thinking,” the first track of his we came across. In 2025, Manta returned with a new single, “light exposures,” a collaboration with Tayo Sound released on March 19.

Renao (pronounced ren-now) is a London-based South Asian pop singer originally from Bangalore, India. He made his debut on December 3, 2021, with the single “Nobody,” which remains his most popular track to date, amassing over 13.9 million streams. He followed it up with “Struck Gold” and “Holding My Breath” in March 2022—both of which served as lead-ups to his debut EP, From the South, released on April 22, 2022.
On June 2, 2023, he dropped his debut album A SPACE BETWEEN ORANGE & BLUE, further establishing his distinctive sound. Later that year, he released the single “JASMINE” on October 4—a track we discovered through TikTok and quickly became one of our favourites. Renao consistently released tracks throughout 2024 and, most recently, dropped a new single titled “RUNTIME” on May 30, 2025.
