2024 was undeniably a year packed with incredible music. Choosing our favourite albums and EP was not an easy task, but we’ve narrowed it down to our top 10 picks. These releases earned the title “Best no skip EPS/albums of 2024” because from start to finish, we wouldn’t skip a single track (though, of course, we had our favourite tracks we couldn’t help but replay!).
Before starting, we want to say a huge congratulations to all the artists on this list for creating such stunning EPs and albums and making us so happy.

Hey There Elijah is an EP where elijah woods reflects on the moments that shaped him, from love to the experience of growing up. The title draws a playful parallel to Plain White T’s 2006 hit track “Hey There Delilah!”, which similarly reflects on love and meaningful moments. We’ve been fans of elijah woods since his debut and have always admired his music, from his heartfelt kyrics to his exceptional production.
This EP is the perfect representation of elijah’s versatility across different sounds and genres. One song we especially adored is “2 Thousand 10”, a high-energy pop-rock anthem that nostalgically captures the carefree joy of childhood.
Overall, Hey There Elijah has been one of our favourite listens this year—we keep coming back to it for its heartfelt storytelling and dynamic sound.

bleeding heart is Alexander Stewart’s sophomore album, and it marks a significant improvement from his debut album. While he falls under the indie pop genre, his sound continues to evolve with each release. We’ve been listening to Alexander for over a year now, ever since we saw his performance at Eric Nam’s House On A Hill Tour in Toronto.
What sets Alexander apart is his ability to pour raw emotion into his music. The heartfelt lyrics and mellow melodies really resonate with us. Every track on this album has been stuck in our heads at some point, but the standout for us is “easier said than done” which we featured in our MONTHLY MIXTAPE: MAY 2024 blog.

In too deep is GEMINI’s third EP and, in our opinion, one of his best yet. The project features collaborations with JUNNY, GIRIBOY, KWACA, Destiny Rogers and Bren Joy, showcasing GEMINI’s signature R&B style—something we can’t get enough of. We were also lucky enough to experience the EP live during his Miles Away tour stop in Toronto. Our standout track is “365” with JUNNY.

4444 is WOOSUNG’s sophomore album and highlights his signature blend of rock, alternative pop and electronic sounds. The album seamlessly balances upbeat tracks with heartfelt ballads, featuring collaborations with New Vaticans, B.I and BOL4. This project reveals WOOSUNG’s vulnerable side, exploring themes of acceptance and self-reflection.
This beautiful album offers a deeper glimpse into WOOSUNG’s personal journey. While his band, The Rose, touches on similar themes, 4444 stands out as a deeply personal exploration of WOOSUNG’s individual experiences.

As pre-debut fans of PRYVT, we were beyond thrilled and eagerly anticipating their debut album, &SCENE. After months of teasing songs prior to its release, we finally got to experience the beautiful album. We even had the honour of hearing the album live during their first Toronto show on The &Scene Tour back in June.
The project masterfully balances heartfelt songs that swing between sadness and happiness, taking listeners on an emotional journey through PRYVT’s personal experiences.
While we obviously love every single song on this album, our most played song since its release has been “worst days”.

play with earth! 0.03 is wave to earth’s second album that explores themes of heartbreak, love and youth. The project highlights the band’s signature indie rock-pop sound while blending elements of Lo-Fi, Pop and Synth-Pop to create a beautifully nostalgic atmosphere.
The album features seven songs, but our most played track is “annie.”—a powerful anthem about saying no to societal standards. We love the subtle wordplay, as “annie.” also means “no” in Korean (romanized as “ani”). Back in October, we had the honour of hearing the album live during their Toronto stop on the *0.03 Tour.*

rosie marks ROSÉ’s debut album, and we were highly anticipating this release. This is a pivotal moment in her career, as she is able to showcase her personal musical style—one that differs from her sound as a member of Blackpink. Embracing the indie pop genre, the album exudes a. nostalgic feel reminiscent of early Taylor Swift.
We absolutely admire that ROSÉ prioritized authenticity over streaming numbers, releasing the album during the Christmas season yet still charting at #90 on the Billboard Top 100. We absolutely love that through this project, ROSÉ is deeply vulnerable, exploring themes of love, growth, and even her relationship with a toxic ex—topics rarely addressed by K-pop idols.
Ever since the release, we’ve had this album on repeat. Our favourite tracks include; “number one girl,” “toxic till the end,” “APT.” with Bruno Mars, “two years” and “stay a little longer.” Honestly, it’s impossible to pick just one favourite!

dopamine marks JUNNY’s first EP release after a two-year hiatus, and it was absolutely worth the wait. This project blends JUNNY’s signature R&B sound with a more refined, mature vibe, balancing heartfelt ballads with upbeat tracks. The EP also features exciting collaborations with BOBBY and SOLE.
Our standout track is “figure8,” a slower, emotional piece that truly resonates. We also had the privilege of experiencing this EP live and photographing JUNNY during his dopamine tour stop in Toronto.

HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1 is an EP dedicated to j-hope’s love for dance and marks his first soundtrack release. The songs were included in his docu-series HOPE ON THE STREET, available on Amazon Prime. This EP follows one year after j-hope’s debut album, Jack In The Box, which leaned heavily into rap. With HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, j-hope leans into hip-hop and features collaborations with Jung Kook of BTS, Nile Rodgers, benny blanco, HUH YUNJIN of LE SSERAFIM, JINBO the SuperFreak, Gaeko and YOON MIRAE.
This project was a total surprise, as j-hope was serving in the military at the time. As he’s our BTS bias, it felt extra special to spend 2024 listening to new music from him as we waited for his return. It’s nearly impossible to pick a favourite track, but we’ve had “i wonder” with Jung Kook and “i don’t know” with HUH YUNJIN on repeat since its release.

J – The 1st Album is the debut album from South Korean singer JAEHYUN, a member of the K-pop boy group NCT 127. This album leans heavily into the R&B genre, offering a refreshing contrast to the typical hip-hop and K-pop style music he’s known for as part of NCT 127.
JAEHYUN is our bias from NCT 127, and we really love his personal style. Musically, he’s an artist we relate to the most, so we knew we’d love this album. Each track is rooted in R&B, but seamlessly incorporates elements from other genres. The project is a perfect balance of uplifting and melancholy ballads with heartfelt love songs. a
Our two favourites—and most-played tracks—are “Completely” and “Roses”.
